Chores are good for kids!

And proper chores too, none of this clearing the plates after dinner, no. Turns out that up until the 70s kids were given much higher degrees of responsiblity and that this aided their development.
The survey conducted also learned that British children “earn” approximately £700 million a year from partaking in “chores” and that this probably isn’t a great idea. Click through to the article for more facts to back up getting your kids to do things for free.

My 6-year-old helps around the house, I couldn’t manage otherwise. It makes her feel more involved and she enjoys it. For her it is normal so hopefully this will continue into the teenage years, or maybe not!
