A Minute for Mothers
Posted in ´General´ March 10th, 2010 by Editor in Action
This Friday (12 March 2010) a coalition of leading charities including The White Ribbon Alliance, Save the Children and Oxfam are holding the A Minute for Mothers event to raise awareness of the health of mothers and their babies during childbirth. Supporters will be gathering in Old Palace Green, London at 10.30am to lay flowers in remembrance of mothers and babies who died during childbirth.
One woman in the world dies every minute and two million newborn babies die every year during childbirth – mostly because of preventable causes related to pregnancy.
Add your name to the millionmums campaign and send a virtual white flower to the leaders of the UK’s political parties.
Everyday discoveries…
Posted in ´General´ March 9th, 2010 by Editor in ActionAt the end of 2009, Huggies® Super-Dry asked mums to help them celebrate everyday little discoveries by uploading photos of their babies’ little achievements. The thousands of photos posted on huggiesclub.com created a wonderful gallery of cheeky babies covered in food, sporting sunglasses, grinning for the camera and many more.
Following a public vote, 500 entries were selected to attend casting sessions, from which 10 lucky babies were chosen at random to star in their very own Disney® storybook.
Take a look at the fab gallery now and see who the winners are at www.huggiesclub.co.uk/superdrydiscoveries

Baby First Aid
Posted in ´General´ February 1st, 2010 by Editor in ActionWhile scrolling through my RSS today I came across a post by the wonderful Who’s The Mummy about a baby first aid course that she attended a while back. It’s definitely worth checking out for some helpful hints (and life saving information). She also links to the British Red Cross site for first aid for babies and children, which is something that all of us should probably be aware of.

Blogger Dad has recently launched THINGS MY CHILD SAYS. It’s still currently in its infancy (haha) but is open to submissions. So if you have anything fittting, send him a mail, or just stop by for some laugh out loud quotes.
